Stefan Postma remains determined to quit Aston Villa, despite the carrot of an improved contract at the club. The Dutch goalkeeper has been told he will be offered revised terms at Villa Park if he is prepared to stay on as back-up to Thomas Sorensen. But Postma's agent Piet Buter revealed the 28-year-old is still frustrated at his failure to secure regular first team football with the Midlands side.

Is he that good?

I guess if they have offered a good deal and he still wants to move, you can't really stop him.

hes got to be feeling....'am second best here' and he will always will be, the contract would make that clear.

he must be pretty good for back up though if they want to stump up wages just to keep him on the bench

Villia don't seem to be going anywhere at the moment. They just keep hovering just outside of the top 5/6 teams every season. They are going to lose Hitzlespuger at the end of the season and wont be able to replace him. Unless O'leary can find some decent players at a cheap price, they will just keep going as they are.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Stefan Postma feels he may need to leave the club to boost his international chances.

Postma is refusing to sign a new deal at Villa after growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of first team chances.

The 28-year-old is fed-up playing second fiddle to Thomas Sorensen and believes he needs to move on if he is to break into the international set-up with Holland.
