Damm, thats not good for him or the club. Even if its not true, he must have been somewhere he shouldn't have been just to get questioned.

Yea the fans got on the pitch and went after him... Plus he smacked up his car on the M25 and walked away and left it.. Sounds like he is a bit of trouble and Arsenal knew what they was getting when they signed him. He is being kept in custody today aswell, thats three days now..

Dutch law is different from ours, they can question you for three days without having to seek an extension.

His lawyer is confident he will be released due to lack of evidence, doesn't mean he didn't do it though.

Dutch authorities have decided to hold Arsenal's Robin van Persie, who is in custody on suspicion of rape, for a further 14 days.

The Dutch international was arrested on Monday following an alleged incident at a Rotterdam nightclub last weekend.

The Gunners star was back in his homeland after representing his country in their World Cup qualifiers against Romania and Finland.

After the 14 days they can appeal and hold him for a further three months.

It's looks like he might actually get done for this.

Arsenal's Dutch international forward Robin van Persie has been released from custody, having been arrested on suspicion of rape earlier in the month. The 21-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Feyenoord last summer, was arrested in Rotterdam on June 13 following an alleged incident. Van Persie has been held for the last fortnight, but was released on Monday - although the investigation is still ongoing.
