Steve McClaren has rekindled his interest in Celtic defender Bobo Balde. McClaren is hoping to tie up two deals before Monday's transfer deadline. The Boro boss is looking to bring in a midfielder and a defender. McClaren has now stepped up his interest in Celtic stopper Balde once again. The Guinea star is out of contract at the end of the season and has already held lengthy talks on Teesside. Following the original talks - Boro insisted that they would wait until the summer. However, Boro have now gone back for Balde with the hope of securing a deal by Monday.

from what is being said, this is the reason bobo has asked for about 40 grand a week at celtic, middlesbrough can offer huge money. he will be testing the waters to see if celtic can match it.

with hencohz perhaps coming in, its a case of, is this a replaceement for bobo.

we still havent paid for bobo yet am pretty sure, but if he goes for free we aint making a loss or profit.

am not sure if it will happen though

lennon is looking likely to leave now too
