Martin O'Neill's reign at Celtic ended with silverware after his side beat Dundee United 1-0 in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park.

Alan Thompson's strike early in the first period was enough to ensure that the misery of conceding the SPL title last weekend was at least partially softened by a cup success.

Chris Sutton missed a penalty with five minutes remaining before Alan Archibald nearly forced extra time when his long-distance effort struck the Celtic bar three minutes into injury time.

it was great to see the team pick up the trophy, after last weeks disapointment and you knew the team where down about that.

Craig Bellamy though, he is different class, the pace of him was amazing and he really tried, he was enjoying his football and it was good to see. Any other day we would have scored 4 or 5 by the looks of it.

Sutton slipped when he took his penalty and laughed about it lol.

it was good seing O'Neill leaving winning something on his final game.

Bellamy didnt say anything about his future, he didnt reveal anything just saying i dont know. Thomo said he staying for 2 more years, cos thats what he has on his contract. Lennon i dunno, he said he staying unless the new manager doesnt want him.
