Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has poured cold water on reports that the French champions are lining up a move for David Trezeguet.
After claiming their fourth successive Championnat title, the giants are looking to bolster their attack in time for next season as Sidney Govou is set to depart.
Reports had suggested that Lyon were preparing an audacious swoop for Juventus star Trezeguet, although this now appears unlikely as Aulas voiced his belief that neither the French international nor the Bianconeri would be willing to countenance such a move.
Lyon could try and use Sidney Govou as part of a swap deal to land David Trezeguet.
The French champions are after a big-name goalscorer, and Milan's Jon Dahl Tomasson is also on the list.
French marksman Trezeguet appears to be their number one target, however, as the Juventus man seems likely to leave the Italian giants in the summer.
