PSV Eindhoven have snapped up a 13-year-old Brazilian player that is already being described as a superstar of the future. Nicao - whose full name is
Maicon Vinicius da Silva - has been signed on non-professional terms and will be given schooling and a home in Holland by PSV.
Nicao is not allowed to sign professional terms until he turns 16, but the orphan's legal guardian - his grandmother- will receive a retainer of $500
a month. The teenager will also continue to play in the Brazilian youth league, commuting between the two countries for different seasons.
