Real Betis president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera has confirmed that manager Lorenzo Serra Ferrer will continue at the club next season. The former Barcelona
coach penned an initial one-year deal when he rejoined the club for his second spell in charge last summer. There were question marks over whether the
Seville-based outfit would extend his stay after an unconvincing start to the campaign, but he has transformed their fortunes in recent months. Betis
now lie fifth in La Primera and are very much in the hunt for a UEFA Champions League place, and Ruiz de Lopera is determined to hold on to Serra
Ferrer.
