Roma may be pressed into reshuffling their rearguard in the summer due to doubts about the futures of two defenders. Traianos Dellas and Matteo Ferrari could both leave Stadio Olimpico at the end of the season, leaving Roma with a huge void to fill. Dellas is out of contract in the Eternal City at the campaign's conclusion and is increasingly likely to exit the club.

The 29-year-old joined the Giallorossi from Perugia in 2002 and played a major role in Greece's shock Euro 2004 triumph. He was linked with a departure from the club last summer but stayed in the Italian capital and has featured on a regular basis. However, his demands for a new contract are more than Roma are currently willing to pay and it seems inevitable he will leave the club on a free transfer.

Spain appears to be his most likely destination at present, with Barcelona, Deportivo La Coruna and Real Betis all pondering a pre-contract offer. Meanwhile, Ferrari's future with Roma is also in doubt, despite the fact he only joined the club from Parma last summer. The Italy international has quickly established himself as a mainstay of the team but reports suggest he is unhappy at the club. It is purported the defender is not enamoured by the environment at the club and may seek a move come the summer.

more bad news for roma, these 2 guys are important players for them, and they seem to lose defenders quite alot recently. aswell as many other good players

dellas, he played for sheff utd and look at him now, hes really went on to bigger things and maybe now, he is demanding so much more than he first wanted?

ferrari, maybe he thought moving to roma would help him win things, and its not going to happen.

i think other italian teams would be happy to sign him
