European: Betis line up left back

Real Betis are close to landing a new left back having lined up deals for two players. Lazio's Oscar Lopez and Jaime of UD Las Palmas are the men in question, although Betis will only sign one of the duo. Los Verdiblancos are desperate to reinforce the left side of their defence after injuries to Paolo Castellini and Luis Fernandez.

It is thought that Lopez - who has fallen out of favour at Stadio Olimpico after joining on loan last summer from Barcelona - remains the priority of Betis coach Lorenzo Serra Ferrer. Betis president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera confirmed that a deal was in place should the club wish to proceed.

i think lopez would be the preffered choice, he seems to be doing better than the other guy. just wonder if hes out on loan, would barcelona sell him. it aint like they would need the money.

so maybe the other guy would join, with the contract being easier to sort out?
