Filippo Inzaghi has signed a three-year extension to his AC Milan contract that will keep him at San Siro until June 2009.
The news is a timely boost for the Italian forward, who will undergo an ankle operation on November 9 that will keep him out of action until the new
year.
"This contract extension confirms the relationship that I have with this club and the fans," said Inzaghi on the club's official website.
"Milan have made it possible to make me happy on a day like this one...days before my operation."
Inzaghi spent six months on the sidelines after having an ankle operation in April of this year, but the initial surgery failed to fully repair the
damage.
