A strike by Denmark's football players could see Peter Schmeichel and Michael Laudrup coming out of retirement. The Denmark Football Association has postponed all matches in its top three divisions because of the strike, which is due to a dispute over Fifa rules.

If the matter is not resolved by 26 August, Schmeichel and Laudrup could be registered by Brondby to play in their Uefa Cup tie. Laudrup is the club's coach while Schmeichel is a club member.

Thats huge.

Laudrup and Scheimechel are Denmark. wow, a qualification to Germany 2006 would be guaranteed if they come out of retirement and register as players for the national team. Bring back memories of France 1998.

Huge??

It would be unbelievable to see them comeback. You think Schmeichel could still do it at his age? What is he 40 or something.
