England midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes Bayern Munich have priced him out of a move to the Premiership.

Liverpool were reported to be interested in the Canadian-born 23-year-old but a move away from the Olympiastadion failed to materialise because, according to Hargreaves, Bayern placed an inflated price tag on his head.

Hargreaves is a poster boy for England. Coming in second only to Beckham. Hargreaves also does a lot of running around, while playing on the field. Bayern will probably get a good price out of him.:bounce:

Although he is English he has spent most of his life living in Germany and at one stage it was a close run thing as to what National team he was going to play for.

On seeing him play so far i don't rate him as being that special of a player. He has a good engine and gets up and down the pitch well, but i think the verdict is still out on wether he is that good a player.

Hargreaves had a couple of other choices for his national team. He picked England as the place his father came from. He could have picked Wales, as the place his mother was born. He could have picked Germany, as he was playing for Bayern at the time. Or he could have picked Canada as he was born in Calgary. He played for the Calgary Foothills where he won the Canadian U-15 championship, probabaly single handed.(just kidding)
