European: Beckham could leave Real Madrid

England captain David Beckham could be on his way out of Real Madrid if Arturo Baldasano wins the club's presidential elections.

And Baldasano claimed the Spanish giants would have no problem raising the funds needed to wrest Wayne Rooney from Everton.

He is an outsider in the elections, with Florentino Perez, the man who took Beckham to Spain, seeking re-election and former president Lorenzo Sanz his main challenger.

New Real coach Jose Antonio Camacho would have the final say on Beckham, Baldasano said.

I'm not surprised after the season he has had. Looks like Beck's is going downhill on the image stakes recently aswell..

It's already been confirmed that Beckham isn't going anywhere. His departure would ruin Real's image. You have to look at the merchandises that are out too that promote Beckham as a Real player. His departure would drop the Real fan base, because of his celebrity like status.

Beckham was a good player while playing for ManU, only because his teammates weren't up to his level. You have to understand the change from ManU to Real wasn't an easy one. He was stripped of his captain like status and switched roles with that of a reserved player. Well that and the scandal that was going on, will lowers a players morale; which reflected on the playing field.
