Sunderland have signed Ipswich keeper Kelvin Davis for 1.25 million. The 28-year-old's capture is Mick McCarthy's second in the space of 24 hours
following the arrival of striker Jon Stead. Davis was due to return to England from holiday on Monday, but a plane problem delayed the shot-stopper
completing the deal.
