The Simple Life

What exactly is the point of this ridiculous show? Are you supposed to feeel good that the spoiled brats are getting what they deserve? Is that why you would watch this show? I refuse to watch it. They just want attention and people are giving it to them. It's a gimmick.

It's pretty funny to see how out of touch the rich bitches really are...

Paris thought Walmart was a store that sold walls!

It's like watching an entire "Jaywalk" (Jay Leno asks dumb people on the street easy questions) episode, hehe.....

How about putting average folks in "The Rich Life"?

I bet there'll be a lot of things the average folks will be ignorant about concerning this lifestyle.

For example Paris Hilton doesn't shop Walmart, she shops Dolce Cabana. And the average consumer will say what is that?

Hey, stop raining on our parade!!!

Here's the thing...Dolce Cabana doesn't exactly spend millions on advertising...so sure, it's not unreasonable to have never heard of it....but c'mon...Walmart?

It's not just that though...she makes Jessica Simpson look like Stephen Hawkings....

She later admitted to be joking about not knowing what Walmart was.

It's all a fake setup. The girls didn't want to show up on the farm wearing mini skirts & heels. They wanted to put on something more sensible like jeans & t-shirts. It's the producers who wanted them to dress unsensibly in order to get "ratings". I guess it worked.

There could be many other things that were "staged" for entertainment & ratings purposes.

Isn't that now the way of reality tv.

Of course it's staged....

But Paris needs to wear some more covering clothing...that chick makes Ethiopians look fat! You shouldn't be able to see a person's entire shoulder blade bone under their skin....eeewwww.....

Reality T.V. is not staged. Watch reality of reality.

The simple life is really funny. I think they are both doomed when it comes to having a job. I know if I was their boss, i would have fired them after they started giving people the middle finger. They were stupid enough to put up 1/2 price anal salty weiner burger
Then they had to go giving people that drove by the middle finger. How stupid can they get?

OMG this show is so freakin pathetic!!! One of my best friends got to meet them when they were there.....he lives in Ozark, Arkansas and ran into them at a gas station one day. The show is still entertaining to watch though.

The show is hilarious. Whether it is real or not, it is still funny. Every episode of Seinfeld was staged, I still laughed.

Oh and they are trying to get attention? There is a crime in that? That is what Hollywood and TV is all about.

People have to quit player hating.

Umm Seinfeld was never meant to look like it was not scripted.

And pretty much all reality TV shows are staged/scripted, and have focus groups used to decide which scenerios will get the most ratings. If you watch a show that says otherwise, it's because the producers of the reality tv shows either a) made those shows as well or b) paid to have the shows made.

They do not tell the people what to do on reality tv. They just take what people say and do. Sure people are put in situations where things are more likely to happen, but in the end it is the person that says or does it.

It looks like (from commercial) that Paris is making out with a 12 year old boy in the next episode.

I mean he is young...17 max. She's what 22 and a total whore? This was taped before the video came out, so that kid's probably losing it now.

I made out with a porn star!

From the looks of him, I don't think he's "thinking" much....didn't seem like a whole lot goin' on there.... He was a few bricks shy of a load....

If anything, he was likely thinking, "damn, that skinny bitch is kinda hot, but she really needs to put some meat on her bones...."

Nicole went pretty ape# when she lost her purse, huh? Should be an interesting finale'.

What's up with farmer boy (the dad)? He's trying to come off all hard ass, when it's obvious he's a pushover, and that it's mom who lays down the law...

The whole point of this exercise, is to NOT live with the freedoms and priveledges they are accustomed to, yet they constantly ignore this, and just do whatever they want.... It's really like a trainwreck....you just want to see how much more damage they are going to do to this little town, hehe......

Let it be known that "the simple life's" rating were higher then the bush interview that aired around the same time...although I would'nt want to listen to bush's lies either...it just goes to show where the american people's priorities are...

"The Simple Life" drew 11.8 million viewers while Bush's ABC "Prime Time" interview drew 11 million, Nielsen said.

In the interview, the president made headlines by saying the recently captured ex-Iraqi leader should be executed -- the "ultimate penalty" -- for his iron-fisted rule in Iraq.

But Hilton won more viewers with her performance baking pies and working the town fair's kissing booth in a mini skirt.
