Bryan Robson has insisted midfield star Zoltan Gera will stay at West Brom even if they lose their Premiership status. Robson has delivered a "hands-off" message to anyone interested in signing the Hungarian skipper should the Baggies be relegated.

And he has revealed none of Albion's squad have an escape clause should they fail to hold on to their top flight position. Gera has been one of West Brom's shining lights in a season of struggle and frustration which sees them five points adrift of the safety zone.

Robson is aware of the importance of holding on to him whatever division Albion find themselves in for the 2005-2006 campaign.

smart move, none of them having a escape clause if they go down.

its well enough saying, hes staying if we go down, but what if the player wants out, if hes a international player, he will want to be playing in the top league

with this clause, can you honestly see kanu staying if they go down
