Crystal Palace manager Iain Dowie has stated he will not step down if the club are relegated at the season's end.

The Eagles suffered a setback in their hopes of staying in the top-flight after Saturday's controversial 1-0 defeat to Bolton Wanderers at Selhurst Park.

With Norwich City snatching all three points with a very late 3-2 win over bottom club West Bromwich Albion, Palace are now only two points above the Premiership drop zone.

I can't see how they could ask him to step down or how he would consider it. Dowie won them promotion from the Championship and on limited funds, Palace have played well in alot of their games and battled hard. If they do go down he will have a better side than when they got promotion, so he will have something to build on..

He has done great things at Palace and they have a chance to stay up. He shouldn't leave even if they do go down.
