Birmingham boss Steve Bruce has signed his son Alex from Blackburn Rovers. Bruce junior is currently on a three-month loan stint with League One
outfit Oldham Athletic. The 20-year-old has now signed a two-and-a-half-year deal to join his father at St Andrews.
The defender, who can also play in midfield, will remain at Boundary Park until the end of his loan deal in March, before then moving to Blues. Bruce
senior was thought to be concerned that the bad feeling between Birmingham and Blackburn over the Robbie Savage episode could affect his son's chances
at Ewood Park.
