Glenn Hoddle is effectively on a six-month trial at Wolves after taking over as manager.

The former England coach has been appointed as successor to Dave Jones who was sacked by the Black Country outfit five weeks ago.

But the 47-year-old Hoddle admitted his initial contract with the Coca-Cola Championship club would only last until the end of the season.

Hoddle's job will either then come to an end or he will negotiate a new contract.

Glenn Hoddle will take charge of a Wolves side 17th in the Coca-Cola Championship following their 2-1 defeat at home to Millwall.

The former Tottenham and Chelsea manager does not take the reins of the Molineux outfit until Saturday's meeting with Watford.

But he was in the stands tonight as goals from Scott Dobie and Daniele Dichio earned a win for Millwall.

Dobie fired home right-footed from close range to put the Londoners in front but Wolves were levelled after Darren Ward gave away a 56th-minute penalty with a handball in the Millwall box.

Kevin Cooper converted the spot-kick but Dichio ensured Millwall headed south with the points with his 72nd minute strike.

Who's gonna take the Pompey job i wonder??

I'd still like either Gerrard Houllier or Gordan Strachan to take the job.
