Bournemouth have moved into the transfer market to snap up young Southampton defender Martin Cranie in a one-month loan deal.

The Cherries have seen their defence depleted following the news Warren Cummings is facing a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury, and boss Sean O'Driscoll moved quickly to snap up the 18-year-old.

Cranie has already made his Premiership debut for the Saints and the boss is convinced he will turn out to be a quality addition to his ranks.
