New signing Anthony Danze made his debut for Crystal Palace - but he could not prevent the reserves from going down 2-1 to Coventry.

The Australia Under-23 international was snapped up on a two-year contract after impressing on trial at Selhurst Park.

Danny Butterfield also completed 62 minutes on his comeback from two months out with a hamstring problem sustained in pre-season.

Mikele Liegertwood and play-off hero Neil Shipperley completed the full 90 minutes, with Dougie Freedman's strike not enough as a brace from Patrick Suffo earned the Sky Blues victory.
