Ryan Jarvis played the full 90 minutes as England Under-19s hit back to draw against the Czech Republic at Carrow Road on Wednesday.

Jarvis began as one of three strikers in the line-up, but had few chances to show his prowess in front of goal against a well-drilled Czech outfit.

The match saw Jarvis starting at Carrow Road for the first time since a 3-0 home defeat to Wolves 18 months ago - not counting Reserve fixtures - and he had plenty of support.

It had been said the match was a sell-out, but in fact just under 20,000 fans turned up for the game, although both Norwich and the FA are claiming a 23,000 plus attendance as that is how many tickets were sent out, many given away to local schools.

The fans who were there saw a game of few chances, befor the Czechs went in front on 68 minutes when England's sub goalkeeper Tom Heaton came for a Pavel Malcharek corner but was beaten to it by Martin Fillo, who glanced it into the net.

It was left to Ipswich striker Dean Bowditch to help secure England a draw when he crossed for Lee Holmes of Derby to score, with the ball across the box just being too strong for Jarvis to turn it in initially.

How good is Deam Bowditch!
