Coca-Cola Divisions: Best braced for full debut

Leon Best has been put on stand-by for his full Southampton debut in the Premiership clash with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday week.

The 18-year-old, who has made two substitute appearances this season, could line up alongside Kevin Phillips in attack following injuries to James Beattie and Peter Crouch.

Best impressed in a cameo 14-minute outing in the 2-1 Premiership defeat by Newcastle before also coming off the bench as Saints beat Northampton 3-0 in the Carling Cup.

Beattie has been ruled out with a broken toe while Crouch has been sidelined for six weeks with a knee injury.
