Boxing: Trainer: "Big Daddy Bowe can do a Big George"

By Anthony Evans: Riddick Bowe's controversial comeback has been given an airing of credibility now that it has moved out of the boxing backwaters of Shawnee, Oklahoma, where it began with a second round stoppage of Marcus Rhode last September. The former undisputed heavyweight champion, now 37, has his second fight in eight years Thursday under the bright television lights of a major network on a card promoted by big-name promoter Dan Goossen.

Big Daddy takes on journeyman Billy Zumbrun at the Pechanga Resort & Casino, Temecula, California in his first fight with new trainer Joe Goossen, who has something of a reputation as a Lazarus man when it comes to coaxing new life out of perished careers. But after only three weeks of working with the out-of-shape 37-year-old, Goossen is down-playing expectations of what we'll see on the special edition of Fox Sports' Best Damn Sports Show Period!.
