WBC super-lightweight champion Arturo Gatti and Floyd Mayweather Jr are set to fight on June 25 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, after the pair's management teams finally agreed a deal for the clash.
The breakthrough in negotiations came when all parties involved agreed to switch dates to accommodate Gatti's training schedule. A deal has also been struck with HBO Pay-Per-View for the bout and Kathy Duva, the CEO of Gatti's promotional firm Main Events, confirmed the duo are set to meet in a much-anticipated light-welterweight showdown.
