Those aren't RPG's... they are enjoyable, but where's the interaction? Where's the drama?

I first started playing AD&D back in 1990... I have the 'new' addition, but refuse to play it (too campy). But, I'd have to say the best RPG out there is...

*wait for it*

Call of Cthulhu

Now, this isn't the d20 version. This is the original, percential dice only game. Where it was required to generate at least 5 characters for each game session.

Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne has gotta be my favorite even though it's only half rpg/half strategy.

I always liked Robotech as an RPG.

Course I also played BattleTech, Mechwarrior, D&D, AD&D, Shadowrun, and Aliens.

I played D&D in the 80's..and several others along the same vein...from the Capone era to the future....but it was all pencil and paper.

As far as video games...my favorite is still the Final Fantasy series. I can remember back when I was still in junior high...playing that effing Nintendo all weekend long...

Computer RPG was EQ, back in the early days of it... That was a lot of fun...

I'm more into Pen and Paper ones though...

Good old D&D is still my favorite....2nd Edition...though I've got all the 3rd edition stuff too...(just can't convince my players to go for it...oddly enough, our gaming group consists of 5 gals, and 3 guys...go figure, huh?)

Other favorites include the White Wolf universe (Vampire/Werewolf/Mage), Palladium (Rifts and Beyond the Supernatural, etc.), and even the Star Wars roleplaying game....

Damnit, dude. I wish you were in my area, or vise verse. I am dying for a gaming group here...

PC game = Baldur's Gate 2
As for paper, I played D&D the most, started back in elementary school, Call of Cthulhu second, but the most fun I had was in Marvel Superheros. I ran a great armored character named "The Flying Buttress." I was so proud of that name.
