Ricky Hatton insists there is no chance of complacency settling in as he builds towards a career defining fight next year.
The 26-year-old will make the 15th defence of his WBU light-welterweight title against Ray Oliveira at ExCel in London in early December.
Hatton is biding his time by facing the 36-year-old American as he waits for a crack at either Kostya Tszyu or Sharmba Mitchell for the undisputed crown.
That pair are set to meet for the IBF belt in Phoenix next month while WBO champion Miguel Cotto could provide Hatton with another huge challenge assuming he successfully defends his title later this year.
Oliveira, meanwhile, holds a 47-9-2 record, including a majority decision victory over former Hatton opponent Vince Phillips.
