Boxing: Green wants Beyer rematch in Perth

by Paul Upham: WBC Interim super middleweight champion Danny Green has finally got the rematch with Markus Beyer that he has long wanted after the German regained the WBC title from Italian Christian Sanavia in Germany on Saturday night. With WBC No.1 Mikkel Kessler declining to fight Green in December, the scene is now set for Green to rematch Beyer early in 2005.

"I'm stoked," Green told SecondsOut via phone from Fiji on Sunday morning. "This is the fight that I have wanted more than anything - a rematch with Markus Beyer. It's almost unexplainable what it means to me. Now it is a reality and all I am thinking of now is beating him and winning the world title."
