Wayne McCullough's quick fire return win last month has seen him rewarded with top ten ranking by the WBC. The Mexican organisation has released it's October rankings and McCullough is a new entry at number ten in the featherweight division. That makes him eligible as a possible opponent for reigning champion In Jin Chi of South Korea.
The "Pocket Rocket" returned from eighteen frustrating months of inactivity to record a second round knockout win over Mike Juarez in California last month and will have been further buoyed by this news from the WBC. While his preferred route to a second World title would be at super bantamweight the Las Vegas based Belfast man has instructed new promoter Dan Goosen to keep all options open for the time being.
