Carl 'The Cat' Thompson and David Haye both weighed in comfortably inside the 14st 4lbs limit ahead of their eagerly awaited IBO cruiserweight title clash at the Wembley Arena tomorrow (Sept 10) evening.

Thompson, the champion from Bolton tipped the scales at 14st 2lbs 10oz while undefeated challenger Haye, from London weighed in at a 14st 1lbs 12oz.

Potentially Thompson vs Haye, which is being televised by the BBC, is without doubt the domestic clash of the year. Both are massive punchers, but can the hugely talented Londoner with 10 knockout wins in as many starts overcome the 40 year-old experienced Thompson, who possesses arguably the biggest heart in boxing today? Many experts around the sport believe Haye's youth, speed and superior workrate will be enough to overcome the former British, European and WBO cruiserweight king. But Thompson has proved time and again that you can plant him firmly on his backside but it takes a very special fighter that can keep him there.
