James Toney has announced himself as back and raring to go after spending most of the year injured.
Heavyweight contender Toney faces undefeated Rydell Booker at the Pechanga Resort and Casino on Sept. 23 having successfully recovered from an Achilles tendon injury sustained in training.
"It feels real good," Toney told reporters at a Sunset Strip press conference last week. "I feel like slapping somebody."
Toney injured the ankle while preparing to fight Jameel McCline en route to a world title shot, after defeating Evander Holyfield in October 2003.
