Leonard Dorin (Montreal, Canada by way of Constantza, Romania) was supposed to put up such a fight that many were saying this would be a candidate for Fight of the Year but Gatti went out and knocked Dorin out in less than 2 rounds successfully defending his WBC Light Welterweight title.

Gatti said "I've been lifting a lot of weights. I put everything into that shot. When he went down, I knew he wasn't getting up." Gatti's trainer, Buddy McGirt, has turned Gatti, 38-6 (29), back into the boxer he once was.
