Boxing: The HBO Tripleheader

I am not quite as critical of the referee for the Juarez-Raheem fight as most. Holding behind the head is a foul. Holding is a foul. We pay to see these guys fight, not grab. Holding is essentially a time out, a fighter saying I don’t want to fight. Raheem really did not want to fight and it was obvious he had no inside skills whatsoever. He fought to survive. He has no chin and so he was desperate to stay outside and throw quick shots, and whenever Rocky got close he would grab for survival.

Cintron is the next Trinidad, though obviously not quite as good. Such crisp punches. His defense wasn’t bad either. He looks great for a guy with only five years total experience. He’ll only get better. My dream match is Cintron v. Margarito.
