Boxing: I'LL HUMBLE HOPKINS, VOWS THE GOLDEN BOY

Oscar de la Hoya has vowed to get it right and win what he calls his David and Goliath clash with Bernard Hopkins.

The pair go head-to-head in Las Vegas on September 18 for the undisputed middleweight championship of the world.

It will only be de la Hoya's second fight at the weight, but after admitting he had a nightmare on his 160-lbs debut against Felix Sturm, the Golden Boy says he won't be making the same mistakes twice.

"I realize I had a terrible night," he said. "I can blame it on not training the right way and not being focused. I'm not a true middleweight. That fight made me realise it.
