Boxing: WBC could survive

Rumors that the World Boxing Council
have reached a last-gasp deal with Graciano
Rocchigiani, allowing them to survive as an
organisation were confirmed by WBC heavyweight
champion Vitali Klitschko.

Speaking to SecondsOut, the elder Klitschko said: "I
heard some very good news from (WBC President) Jose
Sulaiman two nights ago. Obviously, I am very
concerned that all my years of working towards my
dream of being WBC champion would be (wasted) but hopefully
more good news will follow."
