The 33 year-old IBF flyweight champion Irene Pacheco will defend his title against Australian based Armenian and IBF No.1 "Raging Bull" Vic Darchinyan on August 7 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida in the USA.
"Of course I am very happy. I have been waiting a long time," a relieved Darchinyan told SecondsOut. The hard-hitting 28 year-old joined Jeff Fenech's Team Fenech in 2000 after representing his native Armenia at the Olympic Games in Sydney. When turning professional, Darchinyan set himself a goal of winning a world title within four years.
