Filipino flyweight Federico Catubay has scored another big win in Seoul, South Korea by stopping former Pan Asia Boxing Association light flyweight
champion Yura Dima in seven rounds of a give-and-take battle, Friday. Catubay’s victory comes on the heels of his stunning upset over former WBC
lchampion Yo-Sam Choi of South Korea last March 27 also in Seoul.
Catubay, the Philippines No.1 rated flyweight who is also ranked No. 10 by the Orient Pacific Boxing Federation decked Dima who is a rugged Mongolian
in the very first round. But Dima recovered and fought back aggressively giving boxing fans an exciting encounter before Catubay eventually nailed the
game Mongolian in the seventh round to score his second big win since moving to the world-class ALA Gym owned by well-known Cebu boxing patron Tony
Aldeguer.
