Frankly, I am finding Canada to be MORE intollerant everyday. We now have a high profile court case in Toronto concerning a man that used to live in Canada but went to the US about 2 years ago. His great crime is that he disputes accepted facts and figures concerning the holocaust. For this the Jewish lobby has him imprisoned for 6 months while TRYING to drum up enough evidence for a CHARGE!

Those of you that think that Canada is democratic and the US is not are GREATLY DELUDED!

I would agree. And I think that him merely questioning the numbers, and then the Jewish groups calling him a holocaust denier is a big leap. They're two different things, and he should be able to question it freely.

What I refer to is that recently a US radio show was taken off the air for free speech. It happened due to the CRTC which is censorship central.

And the 30% means that Canadian stations are required to broadcast Canadian shows 30% of the time. Name one good Canadian show. LOL!

Truly, things are not good in this country.

I think that many people, both inside Canada and outside mistake the Canadian demeanor as happiness and compliance with the increasing repressiveness I am seeing here.

But I happen to know that many people are not happy and many private conversations confirm this.

THENEO, I've proposed that we swtich places several times. I get to go to Canada and you can come here. Though it's kind of liberal in Central New York. You can go to where I really come from, Texas.

Canadians just don't get it about marijuana.

that is what's wrong with Canada, it really has no sense of self and most of all what it does display is often that which resembles an adolescent.

I disagree with you on a lot of issues. First, Canada has a very strong identity. We our a peace loving, social conscious country that always puts peoples needs as the first priority. Canada is the country that is going to lead the world into the 21st century. Not America, not China, not Britain.....none of them are capable. The world needs more Canada, and we our the country that fulfills its commitments to mankind. We have gone through with Kyoto, despite our neighbors to the south. And we will continue to take the right steps to move forward into the future. That is the problem with the United States currently. They cannot adapt to the world, for they want the world to adapt to them. Well that�s not how it works, we must all work together. They have blown their chance of leading the world into the 21st century. History will show the downfall of America pinpointed to one dark day. September 11th showed the true colors of America. There governments secret tactics became very transparent as a result. The world woke up, and Americas respect has all but faded. Its time we as Canadians say enough is enough. We will be the leaders in the 21st century, for they will follow us by example, not demands. I am very proud to say that I am Canadian. We our looked up by humanitarians all around the world, for our great decision making and contributions. We must strengthen our commitment to mankind. Paul Martin is currently taking steps to ensure our government will always remain in the hands of the people. We have seen Americas mistakes, we have learned from them, and as a result we our stronger. Its time we put an end to all this greed & hatred which we our seeing in our world.
