Boxing: Frustration for Witter

Junior Witter saw his projected summer showdown with Ricky Hatton scuppered when the Manchester fighter suffered a bad eye injury in his last fight against Vince Phillips.

The Bradford man instead turned his attention to WBO light-welterweight champion DeMarcus Corley, for whose title he is the leading contender.

Now Witter is set for more frustration after Corley announced his intention to defend his crown against former IBF king Zab Judah on the Mayorga-Forrest bill in July.

I want to see Hatton-Witter. This guy is soooo confident and has a big mouth, let's see if he can back up what he's been saying over the last couple of years against the Hitman.
