MADRID : Joseba Beloki has slammed Tour de France organisers and his own French team La Boulangere for not allowing him to take prescribed asthma drugs while racing.

The Spaniard, who has finished on the Tour de France podium three times from 2000 to 2002, was back on the road this week for the first time since breaking a leg in a dramatic crash during last year's Tour when he was being pursued by five-time race winner Lance Armstrong.

That seems unfair that they won't let him put this medication on his medical history. It sounds like discrimination!

I agree with Gibbs. Even in the NFL players with asthma are allowed to play and have inhalers on the sidelines.

It just seems like France is going over the top on rules and restrictions in everything they are involved in. Its getting rediculous.

I say everybody boycott the Tour this year. Think about the money France would lose. That might get their attention.
