New Zealand's premier road cyclist Julian Dean is continuing his painstaking recovery from two broken elbows, but should still have enough time to lead the New Zealand men's challenge in the Olympic road race in August.

A crash during a tour in Dunkerque, France, a month ago has left the Waikato rider's arms in slings and confined to the training bike.
