i find vampire stories very intriging especailly the document on the famous Highgate vampire is very interesting, if not the most convincing vampire storie i have heard.

there are several different type of vampires,

one are the undead like creature that associated arround semetary and only can be seen after dark, and sleep in the casket during the day just like a corpe.

two are your average everyday people, that live, breath and walk day/night who think or belive they are vampire and have special power. and do drink real blood they don't admit where they get it from.

but i think the first group are intriging but second type are rather sad!

I wonder if the bible speaks of vampires when talking about the Nephilim, they will hunger, but can not eat, they thirst but cannot drink. Some factions of fallen Angels.

Vampires are often misunderstood really i mean that # that they cant cross moving water or that they sleep in caskets is bull#. recently i met my real mother and father (im adopted) and turns out i am hybrid. yes vampires do exist as do werewolves. they are able to stay hidden especially in todays society. yes vampires can have kids because they are not truly the dead risen up.true to b made a vampire they have to bite u but its more like a virus than nething else. I kno people are gonna b like wtf is she on? and # but it is all true. so yeah neways. the classic information of vampires is sumtimes true but sumtimes not obviously. We are not immortal though as u may think but we do not age as fast and live for many manyyears. thaught u might like a bit of information even though i kno it sounds like i am on acid.

My thoughts on Vampires is that there four (4) types of Vampires:

[1]Medical Vampires-People who, as some of you have probably seen on the hit telivision show 'C.S.I.', need to, or THINK they need to ingest blood or risk ilness.
[2]Religous Vampires-People who partake in the consumption of blood (Human or otherwise) as part of a ritual of a religous service. Druidic Vampirism, for example. (The blood of Christ doesn't count.)
[3]Zoological Vampires-Animals who DEFINENTLY need to ingest blood or risk death i.e. Vampire Bats, Leeches, etc.
[4]LAst, but not least, Cryptozoological A.K.A. Mythical Vampires- 'Nuff said. Count Dracula, Lestat, etc.

I have personally encountered each and every one of these types of Vampires, though my favorites were the Medical Vampires because of the fact that 98.7 of the time they only thought they needed the blood, though they didn't.

I personally believe its a mental disorder.

In the comics 30 Days Of Night, some people believe its a disease in the blood and biting causes it to be passed from person to person. Althought this concept is just a theory within the storyline. If there were ever vampires this seems the most plausible reasoning behind there existence.

I've had more than my share of psychic vampires throughout the ages - and met a few goth kids who were into the whole mythology and counterculture.

I have to say psychic vampires are more prevalent than anything else.

My roomate works the night shift and is ubersensitive to sunlight - but he has more of a taste for microwaved burritos than blood.

But I'm none too worried about the other sort. I sleep all day and work all night myself, so we have something in common...

I believe there were (and still are) vampires. However I very much doubt it in the mytholodical sense. You hear of people that drink blood and genuinely believe that they are vampires but to be honest they are full of it. They probably just got caught up in the fantasy of it.
So vampires are merely mortals that believe they are immortal, a form of cannibalism i guess.
I could be wrong though. Its a big world with very many weirdos in it.

If your talking of porphyria then say so.. otherwhise its more like disinfo than info

Also humans drinking blood and having little vampire clubs or something does not mean they are real vampires.. same with porphyria.. its not vampirism.

As i don't have any fact for or against vampires ill throw in a little speculation
If vampires or any other kind of immortal or very long lived humanoid species would exist.. where should they be looked for ?
My guess is they would have learned alot on how things work from living that long especially if they would look human and could socialise. So if such a species would exist don't you think they should own alot of the economy.. maybe billionaires would be the best place to look for immortals

I doubt some tomb in an old cemetary would be a place to look anyway

My thoughts on vampires

they do exist but not like the dark ages kind of vampire. Negative entities do drain energy, as any person that has lived in a place that had a bad history. These you could liken to a spiritaul vampire, thought they won't turn you into one of them. There are some places that you can go to that have a draining sensation in them. you could be walking around fine and then all of a sudden you feel a heaviness and really weak. I've seen some places on the web listed but that was awhile ago. i'll have to look more into this. as for flesh and blood vampires, techincally everyone is dependant on something to sustain it. a vampire could be just a parasite that lives off of an animal. Hell we need the world otherwise , we wouldn't exist so i guess we are a kind of vampire, feeding off the world and draining it of its resources.

Many insectes feed on blood, Hematophagy and all that, proteins and what not in blood. Mosquito, leeches for example. However they have evolvd into these blood suckers, they do have other ways of getting their fix which would suggest its not a NEED but more of an easier way to do it.
Same could be said for "vampires", they dont NEED to drink blood because they are not actual vampires but they just do it because they beleive they are.

I'm a rather open minded person and am pretty open to suggestions (I'm a bit of a n00b so bear with me) anyways, its true that in every culture and race of person there seems to be a tale told of creatures that drink blood, I think that not everything in this world has to be known, or understood - but I do think that these creatures do exist out there...you see, I haven't been to every corner of the earth and whatnot...so I can't exactly say that I don't believe, and I'm also not the type that requires ocular proof to believe in the existence of such a being - but for some reason, I really do think there is truth behind these legends. Why they don't take over? I don't know...maybe they just prefer to be left alone I guess...I mean how would you feel if your family, friends and everyone you truely cared for left...and you were just left to exist without truly living? I for one, would just want to be left alone.

I think vampires are in a way real but for all you doubters tell me this... how do you know they don't exist? now you may come up with "how do you know they exist?" well the subject of vampire existance has been a driving issue in my life since I was in 5th grade so I know quite alot about the ability of things like vamps existing.

I used to date a vampire. I never saw him fly but I know he could because he could disappear in 2 seconds flat. I believe he was a real vampire. Other than that I haven't had much expieriance

I've heard of porphyria being mentoined but not Renfield's syndrome. Renfield's syndrome is an obsession with the consumption of the blood of others. It most likely has a side of sexual tendency to it as well so the person that suffers from this would appear to be, infact, a vampire. Many scientist have used this disease as an explanation for vampireism. Those who have read the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker may recognize the name of Renfield who was a character not exactly obsessed with eating blood but eating the "life force" of creatures. First it was flies then it was spiders. Near the end he is obsessed with being like Dracula but somewhat afriad to die. I find this syndrom interesting reaserch it.

underworld evolution is a great movie, but not something I would recommend you mold a fantasy world out of. It's just death, violence, and sadness.
If your parents told you one is a vampire, the other a werewolf, I think you should seriously consider getting them help. That's not a responsible thing for parents to be doing.
If they didn't tell you this, and you're making it up, cool. Have fun.
