Salford prop Paul Highton is facing a three-month lay-off after breaking an arm in the Reds' opening Engage Super League fixture against Wigan at the
JJB Stadium on Friday night.
Highton, who underwent surgery in 2003 to save his thumb, suffered the injury in a tackle and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Salford threequarter Nathan McAvoy picked up a hamstring injury in the 15-4 defeat and, with new centre Junior Langi already out with a torn quad
muscle, coach Karl Harrison may have selection problems ahead of Friday's home game against London Broncos.
