Wigan coach Denis Betts on Wednesday put on a brave face after discovering he will be without captain Andrew Farrell for up to four months of the new
Super League season.
The Great Britain captain was forced to return home early from the Warriors' training camp in Florida after struggling with a knee injury and, after
seeing a specialist yesterday, immediately underwent surgery.
Farrell, who won the Golden Boot as international player of the year in addition to being named Super League Man of Steel in 2004, will be out of
action until mid-May at the earliest.
