Terry Newton is clear to line up for Wigan in Friday's play-off semi-final against Wakefield, despite a tackle which angered the St Helens coach, Ian Millward, on Saturday.

Officials have studied video evidence of the tackle and decided that the Wigan hooker has no case to answer.

Wakefield's David Solomona is also in the clear, despite being placed on report for a suspected illegal tackle during the victory at Hull on Friday. Trinity are also hopeful that Sid Domic will be fit to play at Wigan, despite coming off at Hull with a calf injury.
