Details about the selection process for the Rest of the World sides to play Australia in this year's cricket Super Series. Australia will play the
combined side in three one-day matches at Melbourne's Telstra Dome on October 5, 7 and 9 and a one-off, six-day Test match, at the SCG starting
The selection panel comprises former players Sunil Gavaskar (India, chairman of selectors), Sir Richard Hadlee (New Zealand), Clive Lloyd (West
Indies), Mike Atherton (England), Aravinda de Silva (Sri Lanka) and Jonty Rhodes (South Africa).
In April the panel will select two 30-man squads (one Test, one one-day) from across the world to play Australia. Those squads will be trimmed to 20
players by the end of June and finalised by mid-August. Players who missed initial selection will still be able to be drafted in later in the year.
A coach, captain and manager are yet to be appointed. The ICC said adult tickets for the Super Series would start at $46, children $23.
