Man Utd

Ten-man United ended City's FA Cup dreams by winning a thrilling Manchester derby 4-2 at Old Trafford. The hosts had Gary Neville sent off late in the first half and then weathered the City storm after the break before easing clear in the closing stages.Paul Scholes made United's first-half pressure pay before Neville was red carded for headbutting Steve McManaman.City hit back strongly after the interval but could not take their chances as they found Tim Howard in top form. And predictably United made them pay for their profligacy, Ruud van Nistelrooy making it 2-0 on 71 minutes. That sparked a flurry of goals with Cristiano Ronaldo making 3-0 before Michael Tarnat pulled one back.Van Nistelrooy bagged his second for 4-1 before Robbie Fowler completed the scoring from a quickly-taken free kick.

Tranmere and Millwall both joined United in the last eight, with home victories over Swansea and Burnley respectively.

Premiership Fulham were forced to settle for a replay after being held to a goalless draw by London rivals West Ham at Loftus Road.

And there will be a replay needed from the evening game as Sunderland and Birmingham drew 1-1 at the Stadium of Light.

Looks like Pompey got a good draw today so a replay at home might give them more of a chance!

Yesss well you beat a hard team and now the Gooners!!! well you have every chance in a one off game!

We got Fulham comming up i hope we win, then its Man Utd!

It would be funny if we both got through and made it to the final,i remember we said before it would have been good if west ham and pompey play each other due to the connection of players and manager!

Yeah you never know it would be quite cool if it were Pompey vs West Ham final.
West Ham would probably win it cos we are finding it difficult to put together a team.

Well if we made it to the final i wouldn't care if we won or now,it would be a great achievement after we sold all the players!

West Ham out of the cup,we got beat 3-0 which i thought was not a fair result,up to when Fulham scored the first goal we had more shots on goal and was playing well then it just about fell apart after that in the last 15 mins.

I was hoping West Ham would win it but now you can concentrate on the league.

I watched the game and it was a excellent game..

Manchester United reached the last four of the FA Cup after edging out Fulham 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Two goals from Ruud van Nistelrooy put them into the semi-finals for the 23rd time but only after Fulham had threatened to repeat their Premiership win here earlier in the season.

The visitors took the lead in the 23rd minute when a clumsy tackle from Wes Brown on Luis Boa Morte gave Fulham a penalty and Steed Malbranque drilled the spot-kick past Tim Howard. But just two minutes later, Ryan Giggs got free down the left and crossed for van Nistelrooy who swept the ball past Dutch compatriot Edwin Van der Sar.Fulham almost regained the lead when a thumping strike from Zat Night crashed against the United crossbar just before half-time.The hosts also struck the woodwork as Ronaldo curled a superb free-kick against the crossbar in the 56th minute. But it was United who found the decisive goal as Darren Fletcher picked out Ronaldo on the right and the youngster's fine cross allowed van Nistelrooy to tap home after 62 minutes.
