Kind of ironic that the pitchers we're swapping both picked up wins tonight, just before the blockbuster deal goes through.

You pretty much got it Gibbs, a hold is when a reliever comes in to a game that his team is winning and when he leaves they are still ahead. Hence "hold"ing the lead.

Thome is really seeing the ball right now, but as ya say his back could give way at any time.

I'm looking for a 3B, OF and i might be willing to let Adam Eaton go or Smoltz...

I got a trade offer...

3b H. Blalock for TRD's SP/RP Smoltz... I havn't decided yet but in the back of my mind i'd be letting Smoltz go on the cheap as he is pitching damm well now after them first few games at the begining of the season.

What do you all think?

looks like a good deal for you to me, it leaves you with 5 good starting pitchers and is an upgrade at 3rd for you, i say go for it

Hrmm Lowell at 3B is hitting .294 for the last month, he is getting back to his best and he is just as good as the one im being offered. Decisions, decisions....

i lost a whole mess of points this week and made them all up yesterday (saturday). looks like i'm gonna be down 1 point come monday morning. still holding a solid second place, now if only i could cut into PA's lead a little.
