i keep hearing rumblings of a 40 race season. to me this would be too long of a season. i would go along with it with this little twist in it. make the season 40 races, but you are only allowed to race in 35 of them. it would have some problems like nobody would go to the road courses, but it would give the drivers and more importantly the crews some much deserved time off in the middle of the season. what do ya'll think?

Well i have never got into nascar much until recently.

35 races sounds enough to me.The races sure sound punishing enough on the drivers with all the laps and the bumps, crashes and scrapes.

they are still gung ho about building a track up here in the northwest, don't think they would even consider it unless they had a sure thing about getting a race or two, i haven't seen any news as to wether they would juggle the schedule or add races, 40 is too many

I don't think it would be a good idea. Just too much for the drivers and teams handle.

40 races a year,....this will strain the budget of all teams already strained.

Also, why add more races when they cannot even get one race with a viable 43 without filler's.

They got some work to do before this would help the sport.

Funny, I have heard alot of talk around here lately that they would like to build a huge NASCAR track right in Atlantic City. I think it would do well here, we surely have the population. AC is only an hour from Philly, an hour and a half from New York so they would fill the seats.

Maybe they could make it like the horses, where you can bet on drivers to win, place, or show.
Do you think people would bet on NASCAR? I do, I think people would bet on two ants fighting if they could find someone to take the bet.

Back on topic, I think the current 36 races are sufficient.

i know that when they race in vegas the casinos take bets on the race, don't know if they do it for all the races or just the local one
