There is a comic that was published by DC called The Invisibles that dealt with this exact subject. Absolutely everything was real regarding all beliefs and conspiracies.

However, I sincerely doubt this is the case.

Well religions are certainly connected to eachother as being exactly the same, and all that is human is connected to those Gods.

I think you'r right. There are ways to trace all those things together and show how they are all connected.

All secret societies are basicly connected.
They control the government and r envolved with the aliens.
The aliens are actually fallen angels, cast out of heaven for having sex with humans (which explains the sexual aspect of alien ubductions nowadays).
They have been giving information to the government for thousands of years.
The government soon will be issueing microchip inplants to everyone on earth, this is the mark of the beast.
Satan is a major factor in the religions of the secret societies that controll the world.
And it goes on like this.
Sorry, i didn't show very much evidence in some of the things i said, but i don't want to get into all that right now. I was just proving a point.
